St. Paddy's day!

Good Mornight!

Since I was a kid, I've always loved Ireland :D thus as an Irish at heart, let's celebrate! I'm going to share my favourite celtic gigs. Enjoy!

Let's begin with my beloved Corrs and their "Toss the Feathers" :D

I've always loved how Caroline plays the Bodhrán :D kkk. If you don't know what a Bodhrán is, it's an instrument that's traditionally played in Ireland, the one that that looks like a drum in the video. If you want to know more about it, you can google it.

Next is the Celtic Woman. Not really big fan but I like some of their versions and this time, the one I'm going to share is not a one that they're singing, it's pure "irish melody", when the violinist lady always come dancing and jumping all happy playing this amazing instrument. I admit she's a great violnist but I prefer Sharon Corr :D hehe. Anyway, enjoy Máiréad Nesbitt's "Granuaile's Dance".

Next songs has a lot of meaning to me, it marks certain period of my life and a lot of history as well, life history... it gets to my heart big time and the melody is beautifully epic. The part I don't like it's when someone listens to it, this movie "Boondock Saints" come to their mind >_< hehe. Please stop calling the song by the movie's title because its name is "The Blood of Cuchulain" by Mychael and Jeff Danna (two great brothers composers). Cuchulain is a hero of the Irish mythology, you can google that as well hehehe.

To continue, I'm going to "play" the legendary Clannad, a great Irish band. A song with lyrics which the chorus and the title are in gaelic: "Siúil A Rún" and it's about a woman lamenting for her lover going to war. Celtic Woman sang this one too as far as I remember hehe.

Sharing this music is like sharing a part of my life... "The Jug of Punch" by Altan is about melancholy to me even having a very happy rhythm. Still, I really enjoy listening to it and it will always remind me of a friend I had and lost her friendship. Another song with lyrics.

Let's stop for a moment to have a sip of the great Guiness beer! XP can't miss it on a St. Patrick's!

Almost done hehe, just to close with a high note, My Corrs again. Amazing "Silver Strand" by The Corrs! Lovely, lovely that gets deeply into my heart followed by "Mna Na Heireann" played live for a show by Sharon Corr. This is what I call a real musician, a real music performance, this is music! ^o^ hehee enjoooy!

Aaaah my Irish soul ^_^ let's finish this session spicing it up with an Irish coffee! kkk.

Sláinte! Erin Go Braugh!!!! :D
